Liu Zhigang
류즈캉 (刘志刚) • National Level Hunter (#2 Global)
“True martial power is not measured by borders, but by the weight of your blades.”
China's greatest champion and the highest-ranked 7-Star Hunter in the Chinese Hunter Association. Ranked #2 globally among National Level Hunters, Liu is a charismatic martial arts titan who defeated an army of S-Rank giant monsters washing ashore in China with single sword slashes.
Origin & Backstory
China measures hunters with a unique star system, with 5-Stars equaling standard S-Ranks. Liu Zhigang is the sole hunter awarded 7-Stars, designated as a one-man national military force. Like Thomas Andre and Christopher Reed, he was chosen as a vessel for one of the cosmic Rulers during the Kamish dragon calamity.
Power Awakening & Progression
Unlike other National Level Hunters who became corporate guild executives, Liu remained an active frontline combatant fiercely loyal to defending China's civilian population. When an escaped giant-tier Jeju ant monster reached China's coast, Liu vaporized it with a casual swing of his sword before ordinary hunters could react.
Combat Arsenal & Signature Abilities
Wields dual heavy dao swords infused with blinding golden spiritual pressure. His sword slashes generate miles-long supersonic wind blades capable of splitting tidal waves and bisecting S-Rank titan monsters.
Dual Dao Sword Storm
Releases dozens of golden sword-auras that bisect colossal S-rank monsters across miles.
Ruler's Authority
Omnidirectional telekinesis to redirect incoming monster artillery and control his blades.
Golden Spiritual Pressure
A suffocating aura that knocks lesser monsters and lower-ranked hunters unconscious.
Mountain-Cleaving Strike
A downward double slash that cleaves earth and bedrock for kilometers.
Role in the Sovereign War & Legacy
One of the few National Level Hunters who immediately recognized and respected Sung Jin-woo's peerless might without arrogance or jealousy, eagerly offering to ally with him during the Sovereign Crisis.
