Sung Jin-Woo
성진우 • Beyond S-Rank / Monarch
“I shall protect my family, even if that means every hunter in the world becomes my enemy.”
Formerly known as the 'Weakest Hunter of All Mankind', Jin-woo's life changed forever in the Cartenon Temple Double Dungeon. Chosen by The System as the Player, he gained infinite growth potential and inherited Ashborn's mantle to become the Shadow Monarch, commanding millions of immortal shadow soldiers.
Origin & Backstory
Sung Jin-woo began his journey as an infamous E-Rank hunter struggling to survive the lowest-ranked D-rank and E-rank dungeons. Driven by an urgent need to pay the medical hospital bills for his mother afflicted with Eternal Sleep Disease and provide for his younger sister Sung Jin-ah, he endured near-fatal injuries on every single raid.
Power Awakening & Progression
Trapped in the lethal Cartenon Temple Double Dungeon, Jin-woo sacrificed himself so his companions could escape. Impressed by his courage and unyielding willpower, the Architect chose him as the mortal vessel for Ashborn, the Monarch of Shadows.
